We Are All Star Stuff

"We are all star stuff."
-Carl Sagan

It's a science fact. As I quoted from @SciencePorn (one of my favorite Twitter accounts!), 90% of our body mass is, in fact, stardust, because all the elements except for hydrogen and helium are created in stars. Yep, it's true. And although it's not for motivational purpose, it does motivate me. So when people tell you that you're the star for the night, that's not a bullshit because you really are.

It's been quite a long time since I posted the last night-panorama. My wish of going to Bosscha or stargazing anywhere haven't been fulfilled so I keep stargazing virtually through TWAN. All my gratitude go for you, dear astronomers and photographers, for keeping us updated and giving us easy access to see the world above.

As always, click the picture for the sources.

First, from one of my favorite photographer, Wally Pacholka. The grandeur panorama, below and above.

What a beautiful shot taken in Grand Canyon. Breath-taking, isn't it? It's like a giant just walked in the universe while pouring a bucket full of stars and galaxies. A reminder that we're indeed merely look like some dusts in this universe.

Next, from Bernd Proschold, aurora borealis in northern Finland.

Magical rainbow during the night. Few days ago I and Petra talked about our wish to witness this amazing scene live, at least once in our life. And to achieve this there's no other way than saving up for a trip to the northern hemisphere, where it shows up. One day, one day...

Move to another site, which I also love, National Geographic. Taken in Tokai Forest, South Africa, by Penny R. Robartes, it's not a picture of sky or the things above our head, but it's definitely one of my favorite of night panorama. Dramatic, magnificent, like a shot fresh from my dream.

Ah, this makes me more eager to have a trip somewhere where I can scream my lungs out while lying beneath the marvelous stars above. Where I can be in peace for awhile, far, far away from troubles and problems.
