Personal Letters

Hi, Igy!

How are you? Oh, I miss you so much! I never meet you again since you moved school to Anyer L I hope you’re well, and your family too. I’m okay here, and I have a lot of stories to tell.

Well, Gy. Do you remember when we hiked a small hill on Cigombong two years ago? It was very fun, right. I always remember when you were slipped on the mud and no one help you until I came hehehe. It was our pleasure time, we had a great time there.

And the same thing happened six months ago. I had hiked with my friends and teachers. We went to small village in Magelang, Central Java named Banyuroto. This place is very close to Merapi Mountain! Furthemore this village is the highest village in Merapi’s area! It was very cold there, and it was still cold even though the day was sunny. And this village was full of strawberries! Yummy! Me and my friends got some baskets full of strawberries for free from some natives, hehehe J

But that’s not the main thing I want to tell you. I want to tell you about my fourth day there, which was my hiked day! We hiked after pray shubuh, it was about 6:00 am. When we started, I was in front of the group with some friends (Dela, Nadira, Icha… did you remember them?) and teachers. We all followed the guide in front of us. I walked with my group but unfortunately my shoes tie was untied. But NO ONE waited for me. Ugh, pitied me.

So, from the front I moved back to the middle group which was full of teachers and a little kids. And those kids were my juniors and they were talking with another in their group. They were totally quieted me, ugh. So I walked alone (not really alone because one-two times some teachers accompanied me. But that wasn’t excited enough, right?) until my friend named Reza came. He was alone too and when I asked him why, he said: Our friends on back were very slow. I didn’t want to stuck there.

So here we were. Walked together, and sometimes with teachers…. hm. But I don’t know why, time after time we walked, there were nobody else except we two! Did we lost? Or another walked very fast so they all were far in front of us?? Really, Gy, I was very worried but Reza was not!!! He asked me to follow him and I didn’t suppose to separate with him, right? So I followed him. The soil was very slippery. It because last night was rained. We stepped carefully but I was slipped! It was hurt, seriously. Reza helped me a lot. He got me up from the mud and next we started to held each other. I felt strange, why Reza looked confidence? Did he already know the way? I asked him and he said: You should looked for the footprints. It helped us.

Okay, I know he’s smart. But I really didn’t realize that he can think even in urgent situation. Yes, for me that was urgent situation. We walked again and I saw Reza’s face turned happy (before he looked like very serious boy). He was staring at a point in front of us, and I knew why he looked happy: our group were there! We two were very happy and started to walked faster. But the soil was muddy and for second time I was slipped. But this time it wasn’t hurt that much because Reza and me held each other all the way. Thank you, Rez. You saved me, again.

Finally, we gathered around the group and no one knew that we were lost. Seriously, Gy, when I lost I felt very worried. I was panic! Very thankfully to Reza. He knew that I was scared so he said: We were okay, you shouldn’t worried, Rizk.

That’s all, Gy…. hehehe. Did you bored when you read this? Hehehe, I’m sorry J I just want to tell you about my experience (actually about my-lost-day). Because it reminds me about our hiked two years ago. Maybe we were not lost, but the same thing between them is the happiness time that I had. I got lost, but I was very happy. The same happiness happened with you :)

So, Gy……. let’s take a hike again!!!! Right after you come back from Anyer….. or as soon as possible hehehe. Because I miss you so much, and I am always counting the days you will go home. Love, ya!

xoxo,

Rizka.
